- The MultiMedia Modem from IBM is NOT a functional option for OS/2 and probably
- only barely so in a Dos/Windows environment. Definitely NOT recommended for
- the home/office.
-
- Some Bad design here:
-
- 1) CANNOT handle extention phones in any reasonable manner. If you pick up an
- an extention, & it's a fax.. you lost the call. If you pick up an extention after it's
- picked up, & it's a voice.. it does NOT detect this & hang up.. it continues on in
- it's merry way.
-
- 2) there are NUMEROUS difficulties with the software (quicklink) NOT working as
- designed. I'm still with development team on some of these problems.
-
- BOTTOM LINE
-
- This is a piece of scrap that barely works in a modern world. I'm surprised it
- got by any testing.
-
- Even junky PhoneBlaster, which does NOT perform well under OS/2 handles
- extensions properly.
-
-
- NO COMMENT on the Soundcard portion.
